To get to the library from the north:
Via NYS Route 14A: turn left at the first set of lights. Take the first
right onto Main Street. Stay on Main Street. The library is on the right.
Via NYS Route 14: turn right onto NYS Route 54. NYS Route 54 becomes
Clinton Street as it enters the village. Continue on this road to the 'T'
intersection at Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street. The library is on the left.
To get to the library from the south:
Via NYS Route 54: NYS Route 54 becomes Lake Street as you enter the village.
Stay on this road until it intersects with Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and
continue through two sets of traffic lights. The library is on the left just past the flashing amber light.
Via NYS Route 54A: NYS Route 54A becomes Elm Street in the village. Follow
this road until it intersects with Main Street. Turn left on Main Street. The library is on the
left, just past the flashing amber light.

What can I do using my 'Patron Account' online?
-- see what items you have out
-- check due dates
-- renew any items which can be renewed. (Overdue items cannot be renewed
online. You may, however, renew such items over the phone).
-- place a reserve or request
What prevents me from using my card online?
-- an expired registration
-- any overdue item
-- any money owed to the library
-- any note added to your registration Examples: item in lost & found, lost library card, check id, etc...
Any of these problems may be cleared up by visiting the library. Reserves and renewals may be done by phone until you can visit the library.
Does the library accept donations of items?
Yes. However please note the following:
-- Books which are not added to the collection may be added to the annual
book sale.
-- If you have more than three books please contact the library before
bringing them in.
-- Our staff cannot make appraisals of books. You will receive a receipt
for donated books, but we cannot place a value on them.
How can I make a suggestion for a new title?
-- Suggestions for new titles may be made by email to [lhovergaard@pypl.org]
or by dropping a note in the black mailbox just inside the parking lot
entrance
Does the library have a book sale?
-- Yes, usually in the spring. Upcoming book sales are advertised in local
papers and on the local radio stations. There will also be notices in the
library.
Does the library offer computer classes?
-- Yes. Check in [Library events] on this website or call or stop by the
library for more information.
Is there a charge for library programs?
-- As a general rule there is no direct charge for library programs and
services. On rare occasions there may be a charge, for example, to cover
materials used in a library program. Any charge will be mentioned in the
program description on the [Library Events] page.
Does the library have Internet computers for the public?
Yes, the library has 6 internet computers. Five are available on a first come, first served basis; the sixth may be reserved in advance. Wireless access is available to people who bring their own laptops. For rules and information --click here--
Does the library have a meeting room?
--Yes. The meeting room holds a maximum of 15 persons and is downstairs. It may be reserved for use during regular library hours.
