In addition to the usual library offerings for children and adults, such as books, magazines, large print books, audiobooks, video/DVD, music CD's, the Penn Yan Public Library provides the following:

Local History and Genealogy: Tracing your Penn Yan/Yates County roots? The library's local history holdings include a comprehensive collection of local newspapers and other resources, plus expert staff to help with your research. Stop by, call, or e-mail to reference clerk Joanie Hand
Law Library: This library is the state-appointed Public Access Law Library for Yates County. The extensive law collection includes access to LexisNexis, Loislaw, New York Jurisprudence 2nd, and the New York Official Reports and Slip Opinion Service. Magazine Articles: Penn Yan Public Library cardholders have access to EBSCOhost Masterfile Select, with full text for nearly 800 general reference publications with coverage dating as far back as 1984. Have your library card number handy (it's on the back of the card, near the barcode) and click EBSCOhost
Public Internet Access: The library has six public Internet computers. One is reservable, and five are first come, first serve. Wireless access is available for those with their own laptops.
Meeting Room: The library's small meeting room is available for use by outside organizations during regular library hours. Call or email info@pypl.org for reservations
The Mobile Library Service: (MLS) volunteers provide home delivery of library materials to homebound residents of the library service area. To request service or to volunteer e-mail info@pypl.org
AV equipment: Slide, Super 8 film, 16mm film, and overhead projectors and screens may be borrowed.
Spanish Collection: The library has a small collection of Spanish language books for adults and children, as well as a good number of Spanish language video's and DVD's.
