Kids Can Cook: Edible Aquarium

July 5 - July 8

Kids can register to get a kit that contains everything they need to make an edible aquarium. (Don't worry, it's gelatin and candy, not real fish!) Best for ages 5 and up, with a caregiver. Each kit contains enough supplies to make four servings. Registration is required and supplies are limited. Register by visiting our Summer Fun page. Kits will be available for pickup at the library after 10am on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

Outdoor storytime is so fun! Join us at the Penn Yan Community Garden for songs, stories, and more! Please dress for the weather and bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs. This storytime will be canceled in the event of inclement weather. The Community Garden is located at the end of Pleasant Ave., which is a dead-end street off of South Ave., in the village of Penn Yan.

Mock Oil Spill with 4-H

As part of our summer of 'Oceans of Possibilities,' our friends from Yates County 4-H will be at the library to help kids experience what it's like to clean up an oil spill. This will be hands-on learning so be sure to wear clothes that can get messy. Best for ages 8 and up, with a caregiver.
